just a quick hello to sicken ye all!! down on the islands now, had enough of the seedy night life in bangkok, though some of the islands are nearly worse. on a nice one now. the famous full moon party is tomorrow so we got an early start last night. great craic altogether. sampled the local delicacies a few days ago. had fried locusts and a fried cockroach. the cockroach was only a small one but it was thoroughly disgusting!! the locusts were ok, tasted a bit like chicken. vinny's in a bit of a love triangle! he was kissing both eimhear and caroline at different stages of the night last night.!! go on ya good thing!! himself and the lads are really looking after us well! they got us accomodation down here on the island as well as in bangkok. been getting ripped off all over the place by the 'nice' friendly thai people. our first sight seeing day in bangkok we did everything it says in the book not to do( of course didnt read the book till we got home.) got tuk tuks for the day and they brought us everywhere, except the palace , which was were we were going originally. brought us to two tailor shops and a jewellers, where me and jen got very 'valuable' rings for 20 euro each!! mine is 'real ' ruby!!. saw all kinds of buddas as well, lucky budda, gold budda, big budda, emerald budda, if i never see another budda it'll be too soon! its a great laugh though. all in good health still despite all the warnings ,. anyway that's the craic.
have to top up the ole tan now ye know.
