wellington again

well, we've been driving poor heidi into the ground since we left auckland on sunday. drove all down the west coast of the north island. first stop was raglan. world famous for its perfect wave!! i definately want to take up surfing after seeing it. paddy finally got up the guts to jump in and surf the fecking thing and has probably spent the whole week in it! me and jen headed on down the coast on the 'surfers highway' . its all pretty quiet in the hostels at this time of year as we are kind of between seasons, so we've been relaxing and getting some rest in before we hit queenstown. saw some cool beaches on the way down. one called ocean beach at Foxton today was the longest beach i've ever seen. couldn't see the end of it in either direction. didnt bother booking into anywhere in wellington for tonight and as a result we're staying in dodgy spot on top of a hill. had weetabix for dinner as we were afraid to cook in the kitchen. anyway off for a quiet one in the irish bar now. finally make it to the south island tomorrow. meeting up with hugh, so should be fun. no more photos for the mo as i left my camera cord in auckland (oops!)
