howdee

well its been a fun week. been working hard in the vineyard all week in the boiling heat under lek our superviser (aka lex luthers, the evil genius), all she needs now is a whip and she would be complete. appart from this we've been having a great ole laugh (at last was beginning to forget what it was like!) anyway a new swedish guy has arrived in the hostel and he's a total lurpin and absolutely hilarious (only 19 before ye all start jumping to conclusions!) but he's been entertaining us all week. our week consisted of "secon wi-re"(hanging up wires ) and bud rubbing (the swede got confused and thought it was butt rubbing, he he !) . so most the day when we are hanging up wires the aim is to go as slow as you possibly can cos its an hourly rate so we laugh and talk shite! however once she announces bud rubbing its contract work so you get paid per plant. we dont get much of this work but this is our chance to make a few extra bucks so its head down and go for broke!!you'd swear it was a race! bud rubbing involves rubbing the new buds off teh bottom of teh vines. we go so fast we dont even straighten up between plants! Giacomo (one of teh italians ) was telling us in his very italian manner! "you know de new pope when he start he say he want to be a worker in the vineyard of God, but you know i dont think he know this bud rubbing!!!, he he he yeah dead right! anyway we had a few drinks on friday night and saturday night and managed to get a bit of craic out of the germans!! loads of people are leaving this weekend so we'd a barbecue today with the koreans and italians we works with which was really nice too! good fun as well, though we seem to have picked up a hostel parasite who invited herself to teh market earlier with us and then came to teh barbecue, stuffed her face and wants to go walking with us next weeekend!! she at half the brown bread (oh yeah i decided if ya cant beat em join em so i joined in , in the cooking fad the germas have going on here this weeekend and proudly produced stew and soggy brown bread)!
